Frautect Terms of Service

Effective date: 17 October 2026
Last updated: 17 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Frautect Technologies Private Limited (CIN U62099GJ2024PTC155224), registered office at H/414+415, Sumel-11, near Namaste Circle, Shahibag, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380004, India ("Frautect", "we", "us"). They cover your use of the Frautect mobile app and the services it connects to (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Frautect

You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms for you.

You must not use the Service if the law or a previous suspension by us forbids it.

2. Your account

  • You can sign in with your email address (using a one-time code) or with Google.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep access to your email and Google account secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
  • Tell us at support@frautect.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
  • New accounts may need approval before they can be used. We may refuse or limit an account to prevent fraud or abuse.

3. What the Service does

Frautect helps you find fraudulent and malicious apps, unsafe phone settings, unsafe Wi-Fi networks, and scam links. To do this, and only after you agree to App Checks, it reads information about the apps installed on your phone and sends some of it to our servers, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can turn App Checks off at any time; the features that depend on it then stop working.

Some features need permissions you grant in Android (for example notifications, location, usage access, or display over other apps). These are optional. If you do not grant them, the related features will not work.

4. Scan tokens

  • Some features, such as scanning an app or verifying a link, use scan tokens.
  • We give tokens to accounts free of charge, as we decide from time to time. Tokens have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged, and are not refundable.
  • We may change how many tokens are given, what they can be used for, or stop offering them.
  • If we ever offer tokens or other features for payment inside the app, we will do so through Google Play's billing system, and additional terms will apply.

5. Results are advice, not a guarantee

Please read this section carefully.

  • Frautect uses automated checks, threat databases, developer-certificate verification, and machine-learning models. Verdicts such as "Genuine", "Suspicious", "Dangerous", or "Impersonation" are risk indicators to help you decide. They are not a guarantee.
  • No security product can detect every threat. New malware and scams appear all the time. A "safe" or "genuine" result does not mean an app or link is definitely safe, and a warning does not mean an app or its developer has done anything illegal.
  • You decide whether to install, keep, uninstall, or use an app, open a link, or make a payment. Frautect never uninstalls an app without your confirmation.
  • The Service does not replace your bank's security, official advice from authorities, or your own care. If you think you have been the victim of fraud, contact your bank immediately and report it to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (https://cybercrime.gov.in) or call 1930 (in India).

6. Reporting scams

When you submit a report, you confirm that:

  • it is honest and accurate to the best of your knowledge;
  • you have the right to share any screenshots and content you include;
  • it does not contain other people's personal information beyond what is needed to describe the scam.

You must not submit reports that are false, defamatory, made to harm a competitor, or that contain illegal content.

You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, use, analyse, reproduce, and share your reports (without identifying you) to run the Service, warn other users, improve our threat detection, and help platforms and authorities act on scams.

We review reports but do not have to act on any of them. We may remove or decline any report.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the Service for anything illegal, or to harm, harass, or defraud anyone;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app, or try to extract its source code, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
  • try to get around security, rate limits, or token limits, or access accounts or data that are not yours;
  • use bots, scripts, or automated means to access our servers or collect data from the Service;
  • use the Service or its results to build a competing threat database or product;
  • interfere with or overload our servers;
  • create multiple accounts to get more free tokens.

If you find a security weakness, please report it to support@frautect.com instead of exploiting it. We welcome responsible reports.

8. Our intellectual property

The app, its design, our threat database, verdicts, and all content we provide belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Android devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in line with these Terms.

The Frautect name and logo are our trademarks. App names, logos, and trademarks of other companies shown in the app belong to their owners and are shown only to identify those apps.

9. Third-party services

The Service links to and relies on services we do not control, such as Google Play, Google Sign-In, and other websites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them. We are not responsible for them.

10. Changes to the Service

We are always improving Frautect. We may add, change, or remove features, or stop the Service, at any time. If we stop the Service entirely, we will try to give you reasonable notice.

App updates. Updates to the app are delivered through Google Play. The app may ask you to install an update, and Google Play may download it in the background with your agreement. To fix bugs, improve threat detection, and keep you secure, we may stop supporting older versions of the app. If your version is no longer supported, you will need to install the latest version from Google Play to keep using the Service. We may also switch individual features off remotely, for example while we fix a problem with them.

11. Ending your use

  • You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or at https://frautect.com/app/delete-account.
  • We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect users or the Service. Where appropriate we will tell you why.

Sections 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, and 15 continue to apply after your account ends.

12. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty — express or implied — including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or that it will detect every threat.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, money, profits, or reputation, arising from your use of the Service or from relying on a verdict;
  • we are not liable for loss caused by malicious apps, scams, or third parties, even if the Service did not detect them;
  • our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees) or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

14. Indemnity

If you break these Terms or the law, or submit a report that infringes someone's rights, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and legal costs arising from it, to the extent the law allows.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please contact us at support@frautect.com so we can try to resolve the issue. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, the courts at Ahmedabad, India have exclusive jurisdiction, unless consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

17. General

  • If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a right, we have not given it up.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over the Service.
  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
